Welcome to Eurotopia – an extraordinary musical odyssey created in collaboration between a supergroup of Liverpool and Ukrainian artists: Natalie McCool, Stealing Sheep, Helleroid, Krapka;KOMA and Iryna Muha.
OMD’s Andy McCluskey joined Liverpool indie rockers Red Rum Club and psychedelic pop queen Jane Weaver as they became members of Welcome To Eurotopia, – a supergroup made up of Liverpool musicians and Ukrainian artists who took to the stage on the Pier Head in an avant-pop spectacle. The concert followed a memorable Eurovision Village opening performance from 2022 Eurovision winners, Kalush Orchestra.
The band was led by city art scene musicians Natalie McCool and Stealing Sheep and led an incredible line-up of musicians to perform a mind-blowing mix of music with eye-popping Euro-style costume and glamour. Other Liverpool musicians that performed included She Drew The Gun’s Lou Roach, vocal harmony group Mic Lowry, Mickey Callisto, PODGE, Kelly Shimeya and Dialect.
They joined forces with Ukrainian artists Helleroid, Krapka;KOMA and Iryna Muha in what was an unmissable performance and one that went down as a landmark moment in Liverpool’s Eurovision host city offer.
