The British Council and the Royal Commission for AlUla have signed an agreement to foster collaboration in heritage, capacity building, and knowledge exchange in Saudi Arabia. This partnership underscores the mutual commitment of both organisations to enriching the cultural landscape and empowering Saudi professionals through training and research. As part of this partnership, UK-based artists, cultural professionals, cultural organizations, and universities are being invited to apply for grants in the following sectors: Visual Arts; Performing Arts: Music and Theatre; Archaeology Heritage & Museums and Architecture; Design and Fashion. The grant scheme is designed to accelerate UK cultural engagement with AlUla and foster long-term partnerships between UK and Saudi counterparts. Applicants may apply for travel grants (£3,000 – £5,000), collaborative grants (£10,000 – £20,000) or both depending on the project’s stage of development.
