Port Sunlight Village Trust is calling on passionate individuals to help shape the future of one of the UK’s most unique heritage sites.
As custodians of one of the world’s finest surviving industrial worker villages, we are seeking new Trustees to join our Board and support our mission to preserve, promote, and evolve this unique heritage site, community and visitor destination.
From supporting learning programmes and research to engaging with residents and visitors, this is a rare chance to be part of something special and help ensure Port Sunlight continues to thrive for generations to come. We welcome applications from individuals with a wide range of backgrounds and experience and at all career stages. Expertise in areas such as regeneration, landscape management, cultural and visitor destination development, capital projects, data management, and legal affairs is especially valuable.
Potential applicants do not need to work in heritage or housing to apply. Enthusiasm, insight, and commitment are just as, if not more, important. We are particularly encouraging applications from underrepresented groups, including people under the age of 34 or 49, individuals with lived experience of disability, ethnically diverse candidates, LGBTQ+ and neurodivergent individuals.
The role is voluntary with reasonable expenses including travel covered. Commitment is part time and will involve attending 4 board meetings per year, 2 away-days, plus working and advisory group involvement.
The closing date to apply is Friday 28 November, with interviews to be held in early January.
