Supporting Grassroots Music (SGM) is jointly funded by the Department for Culture, Media & Sport and Arts Council England. The programme aims to support and strengthen England’s grassroots music sector by helping organisations build resilience and deliver sustainable impact.
The funding is open to music venues, festivals, promoters, recording studios, rehearsal spaces and sector bodies operating in grassroots music. Projects should help artists, bands and industry professionals transition to sustainable careers, grow new audiences and enhance the grassroots music ecosystem.
Applications are open on a rolling monthly basis (i.e. there are monthly application deadlines).
