The Liverpool City Region continues to host globally significant sporting events – from international championships to city-wide sporting moments – with an ambitious pipeline that includes the Tour de France Stage 2 Finish in 2027, a new inclusive multisport and culture festival, and EURO 2028 across the UK and Ireland.
We are now seeking a Social Impact Officer (Sport) to help ensure these major events deliver meaningful, long-lasting benefits across all six boroughs of the Liverpool City Region.
What you’ll do:
Embed social impact objectives into major event planning across the full LCR footprint.
Co-design sport and physical activity legacy programmes with local and national bodies, sports clubs and community partners.
Support inclusive programmes that promote movement, wellbeing and access for all.
Build trusted relationships with partners across sport, education, voluntary, community and LCR authority partners.
Facilitate engagement sessions to ensure community voice informs programme delivery.
Collect, analyse and share impact data, insight and stories.
Contribute to shared learning across the region.
