A one-week full-time course will take place in October 2025, designed specifically for North West-based East Asian and South East Asian creatives and artists who are interested in developing their own work for live performance. The academy offers a unique opportunity to build collaborative theatre-making skills while forming a supportive peer network.
Throughout the week, participants will be introduced to a wide range of theatre-making techniques, including performing, devising, producing, and fundraising. These sessions are structured to help artists take their creative projects from initial concept to final performance, equipping them with the tools and confidence to bring their ideas to life.
Participants will gain access to professional training, develop new skills, join creative networks, and engage directly with industry professionals. The course runs from Monday 6 October to Friday 10 October at the Liverpool Everyman, and will be led by Jennifer Tan.
No previous experience is required, and the course is open to all interested artists and creatives.
