You’ll work on the development and delivery of innovative marketing campaigns that boost Sefton’s profile as a must-visit destination. Working closely with tourism partners, businesses, and the Major Events team, you’ll inspire visitors to explore our coastline, culture, and attend our events.
This role will help create and execute data-driven destination marketing plans that target key audiences, including leisure visitors, event attendees, and business tourists. It will involve leading Sefton’s digital presence by managing the destination website and social media channels—covering SEO, content strategy, and paid advertising—to drive engagement and conversion. The successful candidate will build partnerships with hotels, attractions, media outlets, and industry bodies to deliver collaborative campaigns. They will also oversee the production of compelling content such as videos, blogs, and photography that highlight Sefton’s unique experiences. Responsibilities include tracking key performance indicators, such as web traffic, social engagement, and visitor spend, and reporting on return on investment. Additionally, the role requires researching market trends, visitor behaviours, and competitor activity to inform ongoing strategy.
