The International Slavery Museum is looking for six young people aged 18-25 to join a paid community research programme exploring the histories and legacies of transatlantic slavery.
As a Community Researcher you’ll work alongside museum professionals, academics and community partners to explore historical records, develop your research skills and help shape exciting new public work. You’ll take part in workshops, field trips and collaborative activities while gaining valuable experience in research, heritage and arts.
We’re particularly interested in hearing from people from descendant communities negatively impacted by the transatlantic slave trade. You don’t need any previous experience in research, heritage or the arts.
This is a unique opportunity to develop new skills meet like minded people and contribute to a project that will influence how these histories are understood and shared.
