This year Liverpool City Region will be taking part in Repair Week 2026, in support of this MRWA is looking to recruit partnering individuals or organisations to develop and host not-for-profit repair scheme within Liverpool City Region.

MRWA have a total of £5,000 funding available (per scheme) to support three projects across the Liverpool City Region [Payment will be made for invoices submitted on completion of work, so please take this into consideration when applying].

Funding will be open to both new and existing projects. The primary focus of these schemes should be the extension of products lifespans with the aims of producing a shift in attitudes and behaviours around reuse and repair and educating those on the benefits of moving away from a throwaway lifestyle. Note that specific textile waste projects have already been commissioned and it is therefore unable to be the sole focus of projects utilising this funding. We ask schemes to prioritise waste electronics, furniture or other household items as their key material, mixed focus projects are also welcomed.

This project will begin September 2025 and end March 2026. While Repair Week will be held in March 2026 these schemes can run at any time in the run up to this period, projects will however be asked to be sure to have an offering available during repair week to support its promotion and engagement.

The deadline for applications will be 5pm on the 3rd October 2025.

Closing Date: Friday 3rd October 2025
