We have an exciting opportunity for an individual to join our broadcasting team, for one day only, to act as a reporter for some of BBC Merseyside’s coverage of Radio 1’s Big Weekend.
You will be joining us to support our local coverage of the music festival which is being hosted in Liverpool, to support our broadcast team at BBC Radio Merseyside and help us to offer a locally charged flavour of the event for our listeners.
You don’t need any prior experience of broadcasting or radio. What we are looking for is your passion for music, local events and storytelling.
This is an opportunity to gain a once in a lifetime experience working with professional broadcasters to deliver BBC Merseyside’s coverage of the event. You will be provided with training and coaching to support you in this role.
If selected, you will be need to available on the following dates: 20 May/21 May (training/briefing at Radio Merseyside) and 24 May (on location at event).
All audition entrants must be 18 or over before the closing date (Monday 5 May at 17:00).
