Assistant Curators – Liverpool Biennial

We are recruiting for two Assistant Curator roles - one with a focus on Production and one with a focus on Public Programme. The Assistant Curator roles, support the Programme Team in all aspects of the research, preparation, delivery, production, installation, maintenance and de-installation of the Biennial exhibitions and year-round programme of projects, talks, events, publishing and research. The Production role will have particular focus on the planning and organisation of the technical aspects of projects and exhibition. The Public Programme role will have a particular focus on the planning and delivery of live events and audience participation, as well as contributing to the delivery of two non-festival projects in the public realm.

Learning Projects Coordinator

The Learning Projects Coordinator will help ensure the successful operation of Liverpool Philharmonic’s Learning programmes. As part of our Youth Company team, you’ll help facilitate all aspects of our rehearsals, projects, events and activities for children, young people and our communities, often working in the evenings and weekends. You’ll be responsible for setting up rehearsals and activities, supporting artistic teams to inspire the next generation of young musicians. You will manage relationships with participants, partners and stakeholders, serving as a first point of contact and providing support for all involved. You’ll also use evaluation and feedback from participants to help increase our accessibility and grow our reach and diversity. Venue Manager

The British Music Experience is the UK’s Museum of Popular Music – a place where visitors relive the moments that helped put UK music on the map.

Senior Technician – Lighting

Liverpool Empire Theatre are looking for a Senior Lighting Technician to join their team. You'll report to the Head of Lighting and Sound and be responsible for casual technicians. You'll also work closely with the Senior Technician - Sound, Senior Technician - Stage, Head of Stage, and the Technical Manager. This role is an integral part of the technical team within this busy regional venue. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate extensive experience in the technical aspects of theatre craft and have a background in facilitating shows. You will be a good team player with excellent communication skills, computer literate and have the ability to lead and motivate others. You will have a good working knowledge of current health and safety legislation, along with modern theatre technology systems. The Senior Technician - Lighting will work closely with the BOH Team to manage technical systems with responsibility for all aspects including but not limited to: in-service and testing of electrical equipment, equipment scheduling, lighting and sound systems, assist in stage and Flys and maintenance, and liaise with visiting companies, providing expertise on the venue's capabilities.

Deputy Director – Liverpool Biennial

The Deputy Director role provides strategic and operational oversight across the whole organisation including finance, IT, HR and governance. Responsible for: Head of Finance, Operations and Administration Assistant, HR Support Manager, HR Consultant, Front of House Manager. Dependent on experience the role may also include management and oversight of Development and Fundraising and/or Marketing and Communications. We are also looking for experience or expertise in at least one of the following areas: development and fundraising, commercial partnerships within an arts organisation context, or marketing and communications. Youth Programme Manager

The Youth Programme Manager leads the operational and administrative management of all our youth activity and events. Working across multiple sites to oversee In Harmony Liverpool Philharmonic (our programme providing free music-making opportunities to children in North Liverpool) and Liverpool Philharmonic Youth Company (ten weekly youth ensembles), you’ll be responsible for multi-strand project management. You’ll coordinate timetables, staffing and activity logistics, manage recruitment, and ensure all programmes run safely and to the highest possible standard – converting long-term artistic strategies into practical realities. The postholder will line manage a team, oversee all budgets and lead robust evaluation processes, while ensuring our participants are supported and our programmes are always growing.
