This September, QUARRY, one of Liverpool’s most exciting independent music and arts venues, will open the doors of its brand-new home at 45 Hardman Street, the historic site once housing the legendary Magnet & Sink Club.

To mark the occasion, QUARRY will throw two back-to-back secret lineup opening parties on Friday 26th and Saturday 27th September 2025, celebrating the city’s vibrant and diverse music scene.

Both The Magnet & The Sink Club were cornerstones of Liverpool’s musical heritage, hosting iconic nights and fostering countless local talents. QUARRY’s arrival in this storied space signals a new era for the venue – combining deep cultural roots with a forward-thinking, grassroots programme of live music, DJs, and creative events.

Co-founder Chrissy Connor said:

“We recognise this site’s rich history and aim to honour what’s come before us while adding something fresh. Our opening weekend will be a showcase of Liverpool’s incredible music culture and the creative communities that keep it alive.”

Full line-ups for both nights will be announced on the day of each event. Tickets are on sale Friday 15th August, 11am at quarrysound.co.uk.

From its early days in Love Lane, QUARRY has built a reputation for cutting-edge live music, club nights, and inclusive events. The move to Hardman Street cements its place in the heart of the city – offering a 250-capacity, purpose-built basement for live music, multiple event spaces, and high-quality sound in a venue that continues Liverpool’s tradition of world-class nightlife.
