A huge range of comedy stars and one-night shows will be visiting the Playhouse this autumn, including the return of Kiri Pritchard-McLean, Danny Beard, and Myra DuBois. They will be joined by television favourites Kane Brown, Andy Parsons, Maisie Adam, and Nish Kumar. Completing the bill are The Tiger Lillies with their signature dark humour and Tatty Macleod’s sold-out Edinburgh Fringe show.

Kicking off this September is co-creator and co-host of the hit podcast All Killa No Filla, Kiri Pritchard-McLean, who returns with her sharp wit and engaging storytelling for her latest show Peacock on Saturday 7 September. Following this, Drag Race UK winner Danny Beard will be bringing their full live band to the stage for a night of killer vocals and snappy comedy in Straight Expectations on Saturday 14 September.

On Thursday 19 September, comedian Kane Brown, who opened for Guz Khan’s UK Tour and is known for the roles in Man Like Mobeen and She’s the One, will be delivering fearlessly hilarious stand-up, Don’t Listen To Me. Multi-award-winning comedian Andy Parsons will bring his sardonic humour Bafflingly Optimistic to the stage on Friday 20 September, offering insightful commentary on the current political landscape. Rounding off the month, Maisie Adam, fresh from her appearances on Live at the Apollo, A League of Their Own, and Have I Got News for You, will return to Liverpool’s stage with the new show Appraisal on Saturday 21 September.

The fun of one-night shows carries on in October. Myra DuBois returns after highly demanded Be Well for her satirical stylings of acid-tongued to lay her healing hands on the masses in this wellness sermon on Wednesday 2 October. Grammy-nominated, post-punk pioneers The Tiger Lillies present a new show, Come On Down, with their signature avant-garde, twisted humor and sharp irony worldwide on Thursday 3 October.

The laughter continues with the politically charged wit of Nish Kumar, one of The Guardian and The Telegraph’s 50 Best Comedians of the 21st Century. He takes to the stage with his brand new show Nish, Don’t Kill My Vibe on Friday 4 October. The month concludes with comedian and TikTok star Tatty Macleod. Hot off the back of a sold-out Edinburgh Fringe run in 2023, Macleod is bringing her debut show Fugue, which revolves largely around the difference in French and British cultures, to the Playhouse on Saturday 5 October.

This comedy season offers something for everyone and is not to be missed. Tickets for Nish Kumar: Nish Don’t Kill My Vibe are limited. Meet & Greet tickets with Danny Beard and Kane Brown are available. Book now at www.everymanplayhouse.com/whats-on.
