Bring The Fire Project, the team behind Liverpool’s original fire arts celebration, are blazing ahead with plans to relight the spark for 2025 – and they’re calling on the public to help make it happen.
A Crowdfunder has been launched to support the return of the Liverpool Fire Arts Festival, a not-for-profit, community-led celebration of circus, flow arts, and fire performance. With a goal of raising £5,000 to cover production and outreach costs, the festival is set to ignite the city once more from Friday 9th to Sunday 11th May – marking a decade since its spectacular debut in 2015.
Organized by the local circus and flow arts community, the festival is a passionate grassroots initiative built on inclusivity, creativity, and connection. Events will span three days, featuring workshops, immersive performances, and family-friendly activities, all culminating in a fiery spectacle at the iconic Bombed Out Church on Saturday 10th May.
What’s On at the Festival?
Friday
- Fire Jam and Open Stage in a secret location (to be revealed!)
- Fire Experience Sessions for newcomers
Saturday
- Free family circus workshops at The Black-E
- Skill-building sessions with renowned teachers from across the UK
- The main event: a stunning fire and light performance at the Bombed Out Church with Focal Studios
Sunday
- Circus Games at The Black-E
- An indoor light and circus show to close the weekend
The organisers say:
“The festival is a labour of love. We want to create a safe, magical space where people can connect, learn, and be inspired by the power of fire arts and circus. With your help, we can pay artists fairly, hire venues, and continue building a sustainable future for this unique cultural offering in Liverpool.”
Funds raised will also go toward expanding free community initiatives, such as weekly flow arts sessions held at the Black-E, and ensuring the festival can become a regular fixture in the city’s cultural calendar.
With 20 days to go every donation counts.
