A big part of River of Light involves working with young creatives in the city to inspire the next generation.
Julio Himede, the founder of New York based design firm Yellow Studio, taught a masterclass with Theatre and Production Technology and Set Design students at the Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts (LIPA). After designing the stage for this year’s Eurovision Song Contest, Yellow Studio bring ‘United By Music’ to River of Light. The artwork pays tribute to the music of this year’s Eurovision.
Students at LIPA have also had the opportunity to work with Yellow Studio on light programming and audio mixing to create the installation.
