We are excited to announce that Leap Dance Festival will return later this year. Culture Liverpool are partnering with Leap to offer dance commissions of between £1000 to £2000 in the below 3 categories.
- Work by LGBTQIA+ artists
- Dance film commissions
- Community commission working with global majority women
We are now inviting dancers, dance artists, and organisations from across the Liverpool to be part of the programme. We can’t wait to see your exciting ideas and proposals.
This opportunity has been made possible thanks to support from UK Shared Prosperity Funding (UKSPF), Culture Liverpool, LCC in partnership with Leap Dance festival. Homotopia are proudly co-commissioning the LGBTQIA+ element of the commission.

- It is anticipated that 2-4 commissions will be awarded.
- Grants recipients must reside in Liverpool City Council (LCC) area or be able to demonstrate that the creative work and/or activity will be within the LCC area/ impact LCC residents.
Timeline:
- Thursday 22 January: Applications open.
- Thursday 26th February, 12noon: Deadline (no late submission will be accepted).
- 10-13 March :Applicants notified.
- March/ April: Making of work
Closing date for submissions: Thursday 26 February at 12 noon.
