Founded in 2003 by Lola Sheppard and Mason White, Lateral Office is a Toronto-based firm known for its experimental creative practice at the intersection of architecture, landscape and urbanism.
The studio sees its practice as a commitment to design as a vehicle for responding to complex, urgent questions in the built environment, while engaging in the wider context and climate of a project – social, ecological or political. The firm’s recent work and research are focused on the importance of establishing a relationship with the public domain, infrastructure and the environment from the conceptual stage onward.
CS Design was founded by Conor Sampson in 2008. Architecture, landscape architecture and engineering firms entrust CS Design with lighting design for parks, heritage buildings, monuments and artworks. The firm’s areas of expertise include specifications for electric lighting and programmable controls, custom fixture design, natural lighting for buildings and public spaces, and energy efficiency.
