A baker’s dozen of Welsh Male Choirs will descend on Liverpool at the weekend to take part in the ultimate of gala concerts at the iconic Anglican cathedral.
Alongside them will be internationally acclaimed tenor Wynne Evans and the Coronation harpist Alis Huws as we cement the special relationship between Liverpool and Wales – the city which once was home to 70,000 residents of Welsh origin attending as many as 90 Welsh chapels. Full details of this spectacular event are contained in the attached release.
In addition to the main event, choirs are likely to pop up throughout the city and at some of its landmarks during the weekend| One choir (Beaufort Male Choir from the Ebbw Vale area) has been granted permission by Liverpool FC to sing ‘You’ll never walk alone’ at the Hillsborough Memorial at 12.15 on Friday.
