Performed by a vibrant 12-piece ensemble featuring iconic works by tango’s greatest masters — including Astor Piazzolla’s Suite del Diablo, Libertango, Oblivion and more — the programme vividly captures the soul of tango music. The concert unfolds through seven evocative chapters, each inspired by one of the “deadly sins”, exploring themes of lust, envy, pride, wrath, gluttony, greed and sloth with intensity and flair.
Enhancing the music’s drama, two champion tango dancers take to the stage, bringing selected pieces to life with expressive choreography that reflects tango’s seductive storytelling and breathtaking movement.
Set against the stunning backdrop of candlelit St George’s Hall, this electrifying fusion of live ensemble performance and tango dance offers both seasoned music lovers and newcomers an unforgettable evening of passion, rhythm and artistry.
