The Studio Picnic Summer School is a FREE artistic talent development course for young people to get into DJing and Radio Broadcasting.
The Studio Picnic Summer School comprises of a 12 week DJing and Radio Hosting 12 Week Course over May – July 2026, then 3 x Masterclasses in September-November 2026.
We will cover the basics of DJing, including beat matching, mixing different genre styles, phrasing, EQs, keys and effects,. We will also cover an introduction to Radio Hosting and Producing, microphone technique, hosting shows and recording mixes.
The course is specifically focussed on bringing access to broadcasting and DJing to young people who are facing barriers due to their income or socio-economic background.
