Are you a young person with an interest in history? Do you want to learn new skills and share your creative practice?

Join us to explore our history as the UK’s first arts centre, and think about our legacy as part of the story of Liverpool, its people and its artists.

At Weekly workshops, we explore and interrogate the Bluecoat’s history and its place in modern day Liverpool. You’ll get the chance to collaborate with guest artists, programme live events in our garden and create your own screen printed artworks.

Refreshments will be provided and travel costs will be reimbursed.

Where: At the Bluecoat, School Lane (behind Primark)

When: Every Wednesday, 5 – 7pm from 31st July 2024 throughout 2024.

Heritage Open Evening:

Wednesday 24 July, 5 -7pm

We will begin the project with a Heritage Open Evening of visual art, pieces from Bluecoats archives, music and refreshments. This will be an opportunity to find out more about the project, meet the project coordinator and take part in some creative activities.

Live Sunday Sessions in September
The project will also include several Sundays of exciting visual art, live music, spoken word and sculpture for you and your family to enjoy.

The project will run from July – December 2024. Want to know more?
