The exhibition will showcase a diverse collection of photographs created by club members of all experience levels, showing a wide range of subjects, styles and creative perspectives.
Club Chair Dot Daw described the exhibition as a significant milestone for the club, reflecting both the individual talents of members and the collaborative, supportive spirit that defines the organisation. Visitors will have the opportunity to view work from photographers at different stages of their artistic development, demonstrating the club’s inclusive approach to learning and creativity.
Founded to bring together photography enthusiasts of all abilities, Prescot Photo Club has grown into a thriving local community where members share knowledge, develop skills and encourage one another’s artistic growth. The club expresses its gratitude to Shakespeare North Playhouse for providing the venue and to Prescot Town Council for helping to finance the exhibition.
The exhibition is free to attend during the venue’s opening hours.
Prescot Photo Club was established in June 2024 by participants in the 2023 Picturing High Streets project, led in Prescot by photographic artist Tony Mallon and supported by Open Eye Gallery. The club continues to offer meetings, workshops and outings in a friendly, non-competitive environment.
