Tmesis Theatre are pleased to announce that the full workshop programme for Physical Fest 2026 is now officially live.
As a central pillar of our international festival, this year’s schedule offers an exceptional range of training opportunities for all ages and experience levels. We invite you to explore the complete lineup and join us for a week of world-class physical theatre in Liverpool.
Historically, our workshops are the most highly anticipated part of the festival and are always the first to sell out. With a limited number of places for each session, we strongly recommend booking immediately to secure your spot.
This year’s incredible lineup includes:
• Peta Lily (Barefaced Commedia): A joyful exploration of character and humanity through Commedia Dell’Arte archetypes.
• Izumi Ashizawa (Japanese Physical Performance): A unique workshop blending traditional Japanese “kata” with contemporary transmedia performance.
• Dan Lees & Jamie Wood (Effortlessly Free): A supportive day of clowning focused on the connection between body, voice, and play.
• Piergiorgio Milano (Stage Diving): A dynamic fusion of dance, physical theatre, and acrobatics using gravity as a creative partner.
• Zoë McWhinney (Visual Vernacular): An epic silent storytelling masterclass blending Mime and Sign Language (with free places available for Deaf participants).
• Tmesis Theatre (Expressive Ensemble): A session focused on developing expressive potential through ensemble movement and devising methods.
Full session details and booking links are available on our website and via the link in our bio. Given the high demand, please consult the programme and reserve your tickets as soon as possible.
