Moolakii Club Audio Interface presents Hibakusha: Music Against Conflict, a live evening of immersive electronica and diasporic choral song at The Black-E, Liverpool, marking Hiroshima Day.
Headlining the event is John Biddulph, performing a new live work shaped by electronic sound, memory, displacement and anti-conflict reflection. Also performing is Beau Beaumont, whose atmospheric electronic music adds another voice to the evening’s programme. The event will also feature The Asylum Link Merseyside Choir, bringing live choral songs rooted in community, solidarity and shared human experience.
Taking place on Thursday 6th August at 7pm, Hibakusha brings together experimental music, community voices and a message of peace in one of Liverpool’s most important arts and community spaces.
The evening is presented by Moolakii Club Audio Interface, a Wirral-based DIY label, magazine and music hub supporting peripheral and underground experimental electronica. Moolakii Club has previously worked across live soundtrack and experimental music projects connected to Tate, Mark Leckey and Future Yard’s Selector programme.
Tickets are £10 advance / £15 on the door. A donation from the event will be made to Médecins Sans Frontières, supporting their medical humanitarian work around the world today.
This is a reflective and celebratory evening music for all listeners, communities and audiences.
