The European journey starts in Crete with the ballet music from Mozart’s opera Idomeneo before moving to France to hear Jean Françaix’s oboe imaginings of a flower clock.

After the interval an Italian girl Isabella is found shipwrecked in search of her lover Lindoro. It all works out in the end and the overture to Rossini’s opera is typically melodic and lively. In the final European odyssey, you’ll arrive in Austria for Schubert’s effervescent third symphony.
