Black Gold Arts Takeover – Monday 8th May 2023

Queer artists and allies from the Global Majority* served up circus, family catwalk extravaganzas, bands, DJs, strollers, dance, spoken word – and more, more, MORE!

With more than 50 artists on the day, it was a fierce bank holiday like we’ve never seen before. This piece was produced by Black Gold Arts.

The Best and The Wurst of Eurovision – Tuesday 9th May 2023

The Best and The Wurst of Eurovision was a jam-packed day of sensational drag and cabaret talent, paying homage to legendary acts and iconic Eurovision moments as they battled it out for ultimate glory.

Hosted by Liverpudlian superstar Ms Sharon Le Grand, with live acts including Ginny Lemon, Don One, Midgitte Bardot, Eat Me, Bolly Illusion and more.

Plus DJs including Lucia Blayke (founder, Trans Pride), sensational finales, oodles of prizes and surprises.

The Best and The Wurst of Eurovision was brought to us by Hackney Showroom, award-winning creative producers of theatre and festivals.

HomoVision – Wednesday 10th May 2023

A cabaret like no other; a celebration of all things Eurovision, of all things queer and of all things fabulous.

This piece was produced by Homotopia in association with DuoVision.

For one spectacular day only, Liverpool based LGBTQIA arts organisations Homotopia and DuoVision joined forces to bring you HomoVision.

Host Jonny Woo and an array of amazing guests for a party where everyone’s welcome, to celebrate Eurovision old and new.

Performers from Liverpool, nationally and international, were showcased in the heart of the city.

Featuring an all-star line-up of drag, karaoke, audience participation, DJs and a HomoVision take on Eurovision’s greatest hits. It’s was a ball! Queer Utopia Now!
