Liverpool is steeped in maritime history.
A history that transformed the world and the reason why the prestigious cruise line Cunard is returning to its spiritual home to celebrate the latest addition to the Cunard fleet. 184 years since the first transatlantic passenger liner left Liverpool for the United States, Queen Anne is the 249th ship to sail under the Cunard flag.
In addition to the exciting Naming Ceremony event, we are thrilled to present our Cunard Online Learning Resource Pack developed in partnership with Liverpool School Improvement Services. Featuring facts and figures, snippets of history and activities that schools and children of all ages can engage with. The pack explores numeracy, literacy and early years activities all connected to Liverpool and Cunard’s unique history.
