Liverpool Schools Football Association (LSFA), in collaboration with Liverpool City Council, is very proud to announce a special month-long exhibition taking place throughout May, from Friday 1st May until Saturday 30th May 2026 at the iconic St George’s Hall.
This landmark exhibition will celebrate the rich history, enduring legacy, and exciting future of the LSFA, highlighting its unique place in the sporting heritage of Liverpool and its lasting contribution to the social fabric of city. Visitors will have the opportunity to explore decades of school football heritage, discover inspiring stories from past and present participants, and gain insight into how the organisation continues to shape young lives across the city.
From humble beginnings in the 19th Century, to becoming a cornerstone of youth sport in Liverpool, the LSFA has played a vital role in fostering talent, promoting inclusivity, and strengthening community ties. The exhibition will showcase memorabilia, archival materials, and interactive displays that bring to life the impact of school football on generations of young people.
The event also aims to look forward, celebrating the future of the LSFA and its ongoing commitment to providing opportunities, nurturing potential, and supporting the wellbeing of young people and vital local initiatives through sport.
Members of the public, schools, ex-players and staff, and football enthusiasts are all encouraged to attend and be part of this celebration of Liverpool’s proud sporting heritage.
