Culture Liverpool are seeking proposals from artists and arts organisations to develop and deliver an artistic residency within the community of County Road and Spellow Community Hub and Library.
The artist will develop and deliver a participatory programme to be delivered over 4 months (March – June 2025). This programme will:
- Take place predominantly in Spellow Community Hub and Library.
- Address and explore how people feel after the riots, the reopening of the library and perception of the community moving forward.
- Reflect on the next 12 months in County and what that might look like for the community.
- Produce high quality, free, creative workshops with the local community.
- Provide engagement with people from or connected to the area with a focus on sustainability of offer.
- Produce quality creative outputs, which can be shared physically and digitally.
- To work within existing networks including community groups and organisations across multiple generations
We are open to expressions of interest from all artistic disciplines and encourage applicants who have any existing connection to the area and from diverse backgrounds. The artist will have experience applying co-creative practices to their work and a willingness to work in response to and collaboratively with participants.
