British live music events and Film/TV productions have three things in common:

One, they’re incredibly popular and bring great pleasure and entertainment to many millions.

Two, they jointly contribute over £18 billion per year to the UK economy.

And three; at a critical point as we battle the greatest challenge humanity has ever faced, carbon emissions in both sectors are increasing.

To face this moment head on, Liverpool is offering these two vital sectors a city-wide petri-dish, the partners, and the systemic support to test and pioneer deep carbonisation and the urgent phase-out of fossil fuels. Heralded by the acceptance of the inaugural UN Accelerator City award – this offer will be launched on 29 November with an exceptional summit to drive insight, learning, action and change across the two sectors: EXPEDITION ONE.
