The Bluecoat welcomes Curated Makers, an award-winning retail concept that champions independent makers and small businesses, for a pop-up shop during the festive season.

The Christmas pop-up opened on Saturday 25th October, running through to 11th January 2026, and represents over 50 small businesses and regional creatives.

The store showcases a thoughtfully curated selection of products – from hand-poured candles and original artwork to unique gifts, cards, treats and more – all lovingly crafted by talented independent makers. Visitors can expect a warm, welcoming environment that celebrates creativity and craftsmanship in the heart of Liverpool.

Among the makers featured are cards and decorations by Sophie Green, illustrations by Moo and Snip, handmade ceramics by mud+maker and hand poured candles from Opie Studio and The Liverpool Candle Company, giving shoppers the chance to discover meaningful, locally made gifts while supporting small businesses this Christmas.

The partnership between Curated Makers and the Bluecoat underscores a shared passion for creativity and community, transforming this beautiful storefront into a vibrant retail destination for the festive season.

Mary Cloake, the Bluecoat’s Chief Executive, commented:

“We’re delighted to welcome Curated Makers to the Bluecoat for the festive season. The pop-up brings an exciting range of products made by talented small businesses, and fits perfectly within our existing community of independent retailers to offer visitors further opportunity to shop local and find one-of-a-kind gifts at the Bluecoat this Christmas.”

Megan Jones, Founder of Curated Makers, added:

“We’re incredibly proud to bring the Curated Makers experience to Liverpool’s Bluecoat for the very first time. The Bluecoat’s rich creative heritage makes it the perfect location to celebrate our community of makers. We can’t wait for visitors to experience the joy of shopping small and discovering the amazing talent we’re representing this Christmas.”

The Bluecoat pop-up follows the success of previous Curated Makers locations across the UK, as the brand continues to expand its mission to connect small businesses with prime retail and cultural destinations.
